If I've missed something here that you'd like to know about the Feedback Seeker script, please ask your question here:

Q. Do my pages need to end in .php?
There are two ways of putting a Feedback Seeker on your web page. The
first requires that your page is PHP enabled, which usually means
having the page end in .php, or changing your .htaccess file. (Don't
worry, full instructions on how to do this are provided).
The second method uses iframes, and does not require your
pages to be PHP enabled.
Q. Can I use this with Wordpress?
I have successfully installed this on a Wordpress blog. However, to
execute PHP in posts, you will need a Wordpress plug-in. The plug-in I
used was called Exec-PHP,
which requires Wordpress 2.2 or higher. The plug-in
instructions
say you need to turn off the "rich" post editor when writing a post,
but I've found that if you switch from "Visual" to "Code" mode, you can
insert the PHP code while in "Code" mode, save the post and view it,
and the Feedback Seeker shows up. However, the PHP code seems
to
vanish! So I'd personally recommend adding it to a post last, once you've
typed up the content of your post.
Please note that purchasing the Feedback Seeker script does not include
technical support for Wordpress itself, or the plug-in.
Q. How easy is this to install on
my site?
Installation is relatively easy, even for those with limited or no
experience of installing scripts. Many scripts need a database to be
set up, which adds to the complexity - this program does not!
The key to an easy installation is to follow the step-by-step
installation instructions, and you should be able to install it within
about 10 minutes or less.
Q. How many Feedback Seekers can I
create on my site?
You can create as many as you want, subject to the limits of your
server and web hosting company!
Q. How many sites can I use this on?
You can install this on an unlimited number of domains (i.e.
yoursite.com) which you own, although technical support is provided for
up to 3 of your installations.
Q. Can
I use graphics, or change the colors?
For the most part, yes. You can give it a "box" look, like the
Feedback Seeker used on this page. You can change the colors, and the
text of the button. You can also use HTML in the text, to add other
formatting elements such as graphics and links, just like on a normal
web page.
Q.
Why doesn't your program use a MySQL database?
I chose not
to use a MySQL database for two main reasons: (a) creating a database
is quite technical for many customers, and I wanted to make my program
as easy to install
as
possible; and (b) some people do not have access to, or only have a
limited number of, MySQL databases from their hosting provider.
Q.
Given that you don't need a database, how is the data stored?
The
installation script creates a public directory on your site for
you to put the script files, and it also creates a "data" sub-directory
within this public directory in which it stores the data. This
sub-directory is given a random name, such as data1827209472,
making it extremely unlikely that a member of the public would be able
to find it.
For more technically minded people, you are free to move this "data"
directory
to a location outside
of the public directory, as long as you manually edit
the script generated config.php
file to reflect the new location.
